Reed is a true IT pioneer, having launched his career during the days of the “sneaker net” to now driving strategic initiatives via the cloud, remotely managing everything from handheld devices to server farms. Reed has juggled many hats from writing about about products for Microsoft, to co-leading the now defunct Kansas City Area Systems Management User Group, to presenting at the 2005 Microsoft Management Summit. A long-time blogger at myITforum, Reed also hosts MyOTRadio and is an active participant on the MyITForum forums. Recently, Reed began hosting the official BDNA-myITforum SCCM GURU Webcast ‘hangouts’ that are so in demand, attendance reached maximum capacity before it began.

Currently a Desktop Engineer at a managed-services company, Reed manages the SCCM infrastructure for three clients. He is responsible for 165 SCCM servers servicing 45,000 clients. Reed earned a B.S.B.A. in Computer Information Systems at the University of Central Missouri and holds certifications for Altiris 6.0 (ACE), Vista Business Desktop Deployment (MCTS), and System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 (MCTS).
